I'm in the proccess of burning up our old camper in PA. Its been stripped of all aluminum already. My question is, what can I do with the old frame. I have one more trip and it will be burnt down to the frame. Its probably 32 ft long. I'm thinking of hualing a generator and cutting it up. Are they worth anything for someone to scrap out? Or does anyone have any good ideas?

A buddy of mine took his (after stripping it) and planked the frame with 2" T&G oak and made a great equipment trailer out of it. He hauls several guys 4 wheelers and gear down to hunting camp every year with it. Just a thought.

That is what I was thinking pawpaw, Check the weight rating on the axles and make it into a car or equipment trailer. Should work wonderfully since you should already have brakes and a heavy duty frame. SHould work wonderfully, Where is this trailer located, It may be worth it to put it up for sale to someone on here who could do the same if you don't want to deal with it.

I thought of that, but its probably been parked for 40-50 yrs. It would have to be re-built. I don't think it would be worth it.....would it?
I also thought of decking it for a pic-nic platform. But again, why put a few hundred bucks into something you can do on the ground for nuthing?
Another idea would be to build a deck over it and slide a small cabin onto it.
I'd be willing to give it to someone if they wanted to work on it. Its located near Cooks Forest, PA
Any more thoughts?

I don't know what the price is fro scrap these days but you will have plenty of weight - selling it sounds like your best option and should give you some decent $$
