rice pasta

wondering if anyone has tried rice pasta. i saw it at giant eagle yesterday and thought id give it a try. then i saw it was over $6.00 for 1/2 a pound:eek: you boil it for 2 minutes and turn off the water, let it sit for 20 more and it never gets softer than al dente. just wondered if anyone's tried it before i get some.

It sounds alot like the rice noodles that you can get any oriental market. If that's the case I have used it a bunch of times in chinese cooking and for noodle soup. if you are going to try it, go to an oreintal market if there's one near you, the stuff is a heck of alot cheaper there.

Think he is referring to ORZO pasta. I have never tried it, but always wanted to. That price seems high for a pasta.
