anyone know who offers bottom painting around cleveland/geneva/ashtabula area, mine needs re-done and i dont have the jacks to do lift it off the trailer. I also need the interior fabric (ceiling) done in my cabin, if one place did both, that would be awesome

Don't have any info for Cleveland. Roger Fulton at the Marietta Boat Club in Marietta Ohio built his own jacks and bottom paints all our boats. Gilbert's uphosltery in Belpre Ohio (Terry Gilbert) does all the clubs upholstery, cover and bimini work. Does stunning work.

Is there any benefit from a painted hull? Perhaps algae won't stick... I have an un-painted hull, and it is quite a mess from sitting at the dock all summer.
Thanks,
Dave

I don't have bottom paint either but the paint doesn't allow the algae to attach itself as much as it does to a bare hull. Make sure you power wash the algae off the bottom of your rig when you pull it, get some Slimey Grimey and spray the entire bottom with it up to the scum/water line, let it soak for 10-15 minutes and power wash it again. Should take all the algae / scum stains off. If you don't get the algae off the hull it may start to blister and you are headed for an expensive restoration project.
