Meldahl Dam Update

I'll be heading to the Meldahl after work on friday and was wondering how the action has been there recently for the wiper/stripers. First time out with my new surf rod, hopefully the fish are there and very hungry.

Sorry I didn't post earlier but I have been a busy and haven't logged on for a few days. Anyways this past weekend I made it out to the Meldahl and didn't have a great day but yet it was better than sitting at home. In two days fishing I managed just a few hybrids with the best being around 8lbs on friday evening. Caught a couple smaller ones and also caught a few whites but no size and they fish were just not aggressive. People were snagging them(unintentionally) so they were there just not very active. Had my best luck on a shad color renegade deep diver although I threw what seemed like everything in my box. Didn't try much surf casting after a few too many eagle nests on a windy day.
