I have a 14' Starcraft SF that I purchased last year. The floor is soft in certain spots and is the vinyl is in bad shape. I plan on re-doing the floor and replacing the vinyl soon.

If anyone has replaced their floor, my questions are:
1.How/what did you replace the rivets for the bench seats with? Rivets, or bolts (what kind, lock nuts etc.)?
2. Did you replace with vinyl or non-skid paint?
3. If anyone has replaced a floor in a Starcraft similar to mine, did you take pictures of your project from start to finish? If so could I see them?
4. Did you do any modifications to the arrangement?

Thanks in advance.

I have a starcraft SF LW 14' and was wanting to replace the floor as well, mainly to add a smal storage compartment in the floor. I have some of the same questions you do, rivets and etc. Do you have to remove the bench seats as well?

Walleyevision, I really do not see any other way of doing it. A guy I work with re-did his boat and he used all stainless bolts with lock nuts to replace the rivets.

I replaced my bench seats with new vinyl yesterday. I still would like some more info from anyone who has replaced their floor.

Marine ply is best, but I used exterior grade plywood, for your size boat 1/2 inch should do, then coated it with fiberglass resin all the way around, especially on the ends to seal it, then laid a layer of fiberglass mat on top once the floor was installed in the boat. The mat adds weight and may not be necessary but I used it anyway for strength and piece of mind.
