I will type it out for everyone.

Shorelunch Chowder
Serves four

1 onion (optional)
1lb Chorizo Sausage
Four 15oz cans Italian-style diced tomatoes (with seasoning already added)
One 15oz can of Chicken Broth
1lb of fish, cut into 1 inch portions
salt & pepper to taste
Hot sauce to taste.

DIRECTIONS;

Saute the sausage and onion in a skillet for several minutes, breaking the sausage apart with a spatula.
Add the canned diced tomatoes.
Simmer for about 10 minutes, adding a little broth as the mixture reduces.
Add the fish and continue to cook 8 more minutes, using more broth if the chowder gets too thick.
Season with salt and pepper and a BIG splash of your favorite hot sauce.

Now fellas, they call this a "chowder" but I take a ladle and I ladle it over Spaghetti. Man O Man..............................I'll leave it to your imagination.

Thanks Rick for rotating it. I couldn't figure out how to do it without scanning all over again. But I guess thats what you did.

I'm gonna have to give this a try. I like anything with Chorizo in it. Here's a little tip for ya. Don't buy your Chorizo at the regular grocery store. The stuff they sell at Kroger and Wal Mart is terrible. Instead go to a Mexican grocery store, you won't believe the difference. I only go in there for Chorizo and I always get wierd looks like I'm not supposed to be there. It's also really cheap there, like $1.50 per pound.

at a mexican place on Sawmill Rd here in Columbus. You are right too. It is great and much cheaper than the chain stores.

This stuff is to die for... Funny, I remember coming across the recipe in In-Fisherman and thinking "wow..that sounds really, really good!". Shortly thereafter I came across this post...That was it: I had to make some!

I used two 16" Eye's and followed the directions to the "T", only thing I excluded was the spaghetti (I already had my hands full cooking the chowder). Instead I made about 5 slices of garlic cheese bread and topped them with a generous helping (of chowder)...Unbelievable!!!

This recipe should be a sticky :D

Also I used 4 cans of "Del Monte Diced Tomatoes, with Basil, Garlic and Oregano"...MMM did the house smell good after a few minutes! Only complaint is the chowder was a little too soupy, so soupy that I completely left out the chicken broth. If you are going to use these canned tomatoes (which I HIGHLY recommend) I would suggest using 2 cans instead of 4...This way you should be able to add in chicken broth in order to get the right consistency. 3 cans and NO chicken broth should be perfect too!
