A friend of mine has a Mossberg 500 in 410 and likes it alot, he bought it for his son but I think he has got more use from it than his son :p they are pretty reasonably priced as well.

I have a Mossberg 500 410, and I love that gun. I bought it 3 years ago, and I have killed a ton rabbits with it. I have had no problems, and it wasn't that expensive like $210-220 at gander mountain. I also looked at 28 guages when I purchased it, they were all quite a bit more expensive. My buddy has a Rem 870 28 guage and he loves it, but i just didn't want to spend the extra money on a rabbit gun.

I have one you may be interested in. It is a Remington model 1148 with two barrels.
28 gauge.
The vent rib one is skeet choked with double bead and the full choke is plain barrel.
This is a semi - auto and gun is in good condition. I would want 450.00 for it. If interested PM me.

A 20 gauge will give you more gun, choke, barrel and shell options than the 28 or 410. If you go with the mossburg, be sure and look it over real good - I handed a new 410 back to the clerk and pointed out a vent rib that was anything but straight.
