Minn Kota Genesis?

Does anyone know anything about these? I've got an autopilot on my boat now, but I saw one of these at cabelas last weekend and if they work as good as they're supposed to, it might make things a little nicer on my boat.

I'm surprised cabelas still sells them. I never owned one but I do know minn kota discontinued the genesis back in '03 and only offered replacement parts for 3 years. Anyone needing parts now would be screwed.

I have owned a Genisis since they came out. a few minor problems but nothing more than i have had with any other Minkota, motorguide or johnson that i have owned. Absolultly the BEST trolling motor i have owned. To be able to depoly it and never get out of the driver seat is realy nice. The foot controll is the best out there. If you look at the new Teranova, they have copied the foot pedal from the Genisis. Parts are still plentifull and availible. You can get them from Minkota or better yet buy a unit on ebay cheap on ebay and you have all the parts you need. Have you noticed that all the Infisherman boats are still running genisis trolling motors? those guys run thier boats hard all year long.
