Just wondering Might be getting a boat this weekend. Has a volvo Penta 4 cyl. Freshwater cooled I/O.....How late ya think I can run it ? Temp wise ?

i run mine into november...just watch for DEEP cold!! 30 deg. isnt a prob in mt opinion!!

I'm heading to MI I'm hoping on Tuesday to look at a boat. The guy was going to have it "winterized" on monday. I wanted to hear it run before buying it of course. so I'm not sure what to do here....How do you winterize your Boat ? This is a Volvo penta 4 cylinder with Raw water cooling. I wanted to run it a few times before putting it up for the winter...

i run mine well into cold weather!!! when i do winterise it i sta-bil fuel...fog cylinders...change engine oil...change lower unit lube and PULL THE PLUG!!!!!!!! nothing worse than about 800 lbs of ice in your boat come march!!!!!!!! need more help P.M.me and i''ll fix you right up!!!!!!!!!P.S 130 h/p merc i/o 4 cyl....
