Well you will look a very very long time to find one like that but you can get ones that just need a little TLC for a little over $400.00 if you know where to look. I have copied and pasted part of a post that I made elswhere with the info:
I buy mine from CMP (Civilian Markmanship Program) They run from $295.00 - $900.00 http://www.odcmp.com/Services/Rifles/m1garand.htm#Rack . Personally I would be very careful buyinga Garand anywhere but there . Years ago the Government demiliterized a large amount of Garands. They cut the recivers in half (thinking tthis would make them useless) and sold them for scrap. Some pepole bought up the scrap gun parts , welded the recivers back , refinished the rifles and sold them. I have never personally saw one but I guess you have to use a strong magnifiying glass and know what to look for to tell if if has been weled. They are not safe. CMPS's rifles are direct from the Army and all USGI parts.

Riverrunner, don't wait to long. CMP is getting very low on M1's. Only some of the lesser grades are available. (Nothing wrong with them if you know what to look for) They only have maybe a 2 year supply left.

The M1 was a grand ol' gal, lol. My right thumb remembers her well. :( The command "Inspection Armmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmms!" was enough to elicit a flinch. :o She was ballanced perfectly for the "Queen Anne's Salute" though! :D :D
