I took a father and son fishing on Erie with me last week. The father had fished a few times in his life his 14 year old son had never really fished before.
They lived through a divorce a few years ago. The son lives with his mother and the father does not get to see him as much as he would like.
I had offered to take the father fishing and he mentioned his son and how much he would like to take him along and I was all for it.
We all had a lot of fun together, they caught a bunch of fish, the son caught the most (so he says :)) and they got to take home (both homes) some walleye to eat.
I enjoy sharing the Lake Erie fishery with anyone that is interested, but this was special.
I'm sure they will spend time in the future fishing together.
