My daughter restored her computer 3 nights ago and now a bunch of her office/word files are gone. Don't ask me "why did she restore it?" she is 20 years old and claims stupidity. Any way, is there a way to reset the restore. I went into XP help and it said to select the "undo restore button" but there is no undo restore button on the restore page. I have searched for the missing files and can't find them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Go to Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Restore.

System Restore gives you 2 options, you can create a restore point or restore to an earlier time.

Choose Restore to an earlier time and a calender will show up that shows your restore points. Pick the last one, closest to todays date (the last restore point) and restore the system.

As long as the system restore points haven't been deleted or restore turned off, you pc should have everything come back just like it was.
