It was nice to meet you and your bro. Did you guys pick up any fish after we left. It was funny only to see a total of 4 guys ice fishing. That aqua-vu works sweet there, Only 2 eyes if you get the chance could you give me a ice report this week!!!

How much ice is there? Am thinking about coming out there tomorrow but with the warming trend I don't know.

there was about 7in of clear ice and in a few spot about 6in of white ice and an 1in of clear underneath. I don't think it would be safe now, haft to wait for it to harden up again.. if you do go let me know how you did, I was useing buckshots spoons black and gold, not one hit on a vibee

You are probably right about the ice and it is suppose to stay above freezing for awhile. Oh well, just have to wait it out I guess. I fish there when the water is soft, lol, and have done pretty good. Was told that it was stocked this Fall. Thanks again, Bill aka wormdunker69

ya, they stcoked it with something like 30,000 eyefry and 36,000 prechfry, the biggest I've seen caught was 5pounder, My biggest was 21/2, what about you???? I never had huge days out there but allway get a few keepers

I usually try for the Smallmouth that are in there, best was just under 6. Maybe the next time I get up there I will fish for the eyes. What do you use for them? I imagine that you troll or do you fish from shore?

I fish from a boat, I never troll in there, I drift, jig, cast, jigin works the best for me buckshots, twisters,I even use leach rigs i made.

I fish for the smallies by drifting and bottom bounching hair jigs that I also make myself. I also use a #1 Long shank tru turn hook with just enough split shot weight to get it down and I uase the Berkley Bungy Worms. Also fish Wellington Upground with the same set up for Largemouths. Also some big Crappie in there but you have to hunt for them.
Want to meet up some time and fish two boats so we can search for fish let me know. I am able to go anytime cause I am retarded, oops, I mean retired.:p

joe01, we left shortly after you did, didntn catch anything, we went back yesterday morning, marked a few fish on the vex, but no takers, ice was still 7" , but the edges are gettin soft, went to Findley State Park, caught a bunch of small crappie and gills, edges are really soft there.........we need some cold weather......Im gonna go to the Fin and buy my aqua view this weekend, nice to meet you up there........Bassy

wormdunker69 here. You are going to love the Aqua Vue, only problem is thaty when you are using it you seem to forget that you are out there to fish, lol. My wife hook mine up to her digital camera and the pictures turned out great. We get some hard water again I am definatly going out to New London and give it a shot.
Wannabitawerm wants me to call him when I go and he will let me know if he can get out. :C

Wormdrunker69 thats sounds good. If we get some more ice, I'd like to get out there before we get the boat out again... Bassy, let me know if you guys are going to get out there again, if you could please let me know thick the ice is... I want to hit that one gravel bar i know it holdin some fish.

joe01, I wont be back up there untill we get some more cold weather, edges were gettin soft and Im not draggin a plank with me just to get on New London. LOL
