I was at West Branch yesterday until dark. There is still open water in different areas of the lake. If you go there be very careful.

Were You Icefishing? If So, Where Abouts And How Thick Was The Ice. I'm Kind Of Interested In The East Ramp Area If You Have Any Info.

I was on the north side of the lake and the ice was about 5 inches thick there but over near the east ramp out into the main lake there was open water and this warm weather isn't going to help it either.

I haven't been out to Berlin to check it. It is a shaky lake too sometimes like West Branch. There were several big pressure ridges on West Branch also.

Thanks For The Info Whaler. Where I Would Really Like Yo Try Is By The Weed Beds By The Beach.

I think you can get out there alright but be sure to use a spud bar to check the ice on the way out. The gate to the beach was closed when I drove by there so you may have a fairly long walk to get there unless they open the gate for some reason.

Stopped by Berlin this morning, bout 10:30 am, on my way to Skeeter. Ice was almost 5", about 4 and 3/4 to be exact. Seen some open water or possibly water on the ice out by the channel real close to the causeway, didn't venture out to investigate....wasn't that curious. Hope that helps!
