I know that there is a product out there that you can apply to your rod and line that will keep it from freezing up, anyone know the product's name and where I can get it? I'm in Columbus and Dick's didn't have it. Thanks

You can use regular chapstick lip balm on your guides. I also think Kevin Van Dam may have some line treatment product that is silicone based.

I have found nothing but warm weather completly eliminates guide iceing but some stuff prolongs it. If any one has PLEASE post. I have used chapstick, fly line dressing and stanleys ice off paste, all with the same results. What are some other methods?

I've tried it all, too, and it doesn't seem to work. A few guys recommended Pam. I don't think anything will totally eliminate the ice in these cold conditions.
