Directv Tivo Hack

Has anybody tried any of the Directv Tivo hacks? Not the hacks to get free service but the hacks to enable the Tivo's usb ports and to be able to transfer recordings to PC.

I'm considering hacking mine and am wondering if anybody here has done it to theirs.
