Is it legal to bow fish on state property like the Ashtabula river?

I'm pretty sure bowfishing is legal on all public waterways. Check the odnr link for specific rules as to what species are legal to harvest. I think only common carp and gar.

Yes it is an all public waterway. All species of carp, gar, quillbacks, suckers, snapping turtles, soft shell turtles, maybe missed a few

true but trigger happy didn,t say if by boat which is legal, but by shore shooting might not be if your in the city limits or the park system up around the river,i,ve steele fished the ash and the parks system has some of the river in there control, so i would check out the area your going to and see where the property is.
