Any one here use the family campgrounds at Shawnee State Forest, and if so are they a little spread out or are they really close together? Thinking about taking the family there this summer but cant find any good pics of the family campgrounds. I looked on the odnr web site and the forest web site and couldnt find any good pics.

When I am searching a new campground, I use the ONDR "reserve a site" to find available sites, then I use google earth to get an overhead look at the campsites. It helps me to pick out better sites. FInd ones with shade in summer, spacial orientation to other campsites, etc.

Hope this helps.

Yea i look at the ODNR site and they didn't have any good pics. I looked it up on Google maps but couldn't get a good view. I went ahead and made a reservation and picked the one that looked the best to me on the campground map. Thanks for your help guys.

sorry about that i just saw your post. Yes we made it down there Fathers day weekend. It was nice and beautiful. My only complaint was how cramped the camp sites were, not that big of a deal though, we had a blast. It was also my Nieces first camping trip so that was really cool too. :)
