I remember a couple of my buddies going to tappan to bowfish for carp during spawn does anyone know when the best time of the year>

Saw a guy out the other day down on the west end and it didn't look like he had any luck. You can try but the water is still really low, it's basically mud and I don't see how there would be any fish down there yet. I was slaying them last year around the beginning of May with rod and reel in the lilly pads.

Try the bays. Last year I seen thousands of carp flopping in shallows in people's backyards ( water was high) last year about a month from today's date . Was the bay across from the marina

Thanks for the information, both of my sons have gotten hot into archery and now they are looking for action. Maybe in a month

There is a bowfishing tournament coming up at tappan. Look for Ohio boys outdoors for more info

I printed off the bowfishing tournament schedule. I also called Mitch he explained the membership fee, you just need to show up at the tournament and when you pay your tournament fee they take money out of that towards your membership. I think you will have better luck calling
