My sweet 74yrs old neighbor asked me to plant some corn for her if she bought some seeds of her favorite type and of course big dumb me agreed......not that planting my own veggie garden and running my landscaping/hardscaping company doesn't keep me busy enough this time of year!!LOL They are from Gurney's and are their hybrid "Kandy Korn" got a half pound of seeds to plant, has anyone planted this variety? Any tips would be appreciated!! Plan on planting 1/4 pound here at home( Olmsted falls) and the other half a my bro's in litchfield......he's got about a half acre that I use for crops that need more room. Plus it'll give me a little crop protection encase the crop at home fails....nothing worst than disappointing your dear, sweet, pie baking 74yr old neighbor!! Also I'm not a catalog kind of guy...is Gurney's a good seed brand??

Have you ever tried this "Kandy Korn" variety? If so how well did it grow and are the ears as tasty as my neighbor claims? She swears it's the best corn she's ever eaten.
