Can't decide on a spray in liner for my new truck or a drop in? Drop in protects more from dents and dings but has been know to cause rust under the liner due to shifting during transit or trapped debris under it. Spray in looks good but not as protective in regards to dents. Also, it is hard to think of having a new truck sanded down to be able to spray it....

Had LINE-X on my last truck. You will have a very hard time putting a dent in it. If you can at all. Not cheap. Cost me 600 for a short bed, but it is far and away the best spray in liner. IMO

Spray-in if you can afford it. I can not so the drop in works.

A while back I just bought a gallon at Walmart and rolled/brushed it on.
Right over the existing coating. It lasted and was under $40. Easy to touch up as well.

Anyone think that aeresol can bed liner would do the same thing as that Flex Seal stuff you see on TV? Got a few water issues on garage roof that need a temp fix and didn't care for the reviews on flex seal.

i have a rhino lining in my truck, and have no regrets at all. it costed me 400.00 to have it sprayed on at ziebarts when they were having a sale, and its been worth every penny. i,ve hauled everything from the old steam heaters to the scrap yard to hauling my stuff to florida on vacation. its held up real good. if i ever bought another truck, i would have it rhino lined.

i would just go to lowes or menards or a roofing supply store and get a bucket of fibered roofing cement. its not actualy cement, thats just what its called. is some kind of plastic compound. but roofers use it all the time. its used to seal around eaves and pipes and flues anything that needs sealed on your roof. good luck.

I have two trucks one with rhino one with drop in. While both do everything I expected the drop in allows cargo to slide very easily, since I have a cap on that truck it is OK because with a hoe and very little effort I can pull cargo to the rear and not have to get inside. The truck with rhino has very little sliding of the cargo even if not straped in which has its advantages also. With either type you will learn what you need to do and adapt very quickly, I am happy with both. I have bad knees and it really hurts to get into the truck with the cab so I back in on my rump, I am getting ready to put a soft bed cover on the truck with the rhino and will always have a hoe or another pull stick inside, anything heavy will have a rope attached if in the front of the truck. A 2X4 fitted in the bed slots is also a must for us old guys, gotta keep the cooler close.

Thanks for all the responses and PM's. A couple of guys said the Bedrug is the way to go hands down. Feels like carpet and is indestructable with a lifetime warranty from Extang. They are much different then a drop in liner as they are foam backed. From their video it does seem to be the best of both worlds. Cost is the same as a spray in liner. Anyone have any experience with these?

back when i did mini truck customization i had a bedrug for my truck, the only problems i had with the bedrug was how it attached and if you dont have a cap, attaching for mine was with 3m backed velcro (they might have changed it) it would always come loose and without a cap weather will beat it down real quick, also have to worry about mold and water damage cause the material does hold the water and takes some time to dry out, other than that it was nice having the carpeted look and feel in the bed and was nice to use too keep my fishing gear from scraping on the metal and messing up the gear...
