Do you need a rod built for a special application or do you want one with a certain theme/colors? Most of the rods I build are for freshwater (bass and musky mostly), but I have experience building anything from bluegill rods to heavy saltwater jig sticks.
There are several benefits to having a custom rod built but the biggest benefit is this: It will be built exactly the way you want. There are an almost endless amount of options to choose from as far as thread colors, reel seats, guides, blanks, wraps, marbling, snake skin inlays, etc.
Basic builds start at about $200 depending on the components that you select. I will be getting a shipment of Tackle Industries blanks in about two months which will allow me to offer full custom muskie rods starting at $200!
I also build hand carved muskie lures. I use select cedar and all of the components I use are heavy-duty stainless steel. I used the heavy eye screws, 3x split rings, and 4x strong VMC trebles.
If you have any questions, feel free to email me or give me a call:

I have a couple of threads under the 'Tackle Making' forum. One thread has rod pictures and a couple others have some pictures of lures.
