What time of year do you prune blueberries & blackberries?

It's best to prune the blackberry bushes now since the crops are long gone.Most cut them back to 1 to 2 ft.The blueberry bushes is best to wait till winter than you can actually see next years buds as a guide to how far back you want to cut,but do so before next spring.
