It is the
VETERAN,
not the preacher,
who has given us freedom of religion.

It is
the VETERAN,
not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.

It is
the VETERAN,
not the poet,
who has given us freedom of speech.

It is
the VETERAN,
not the campus organizer,
who has given us freedom to assemble.

It is
the VETERAN,
not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is
the VETERAN,
not the politician,
Who has given us the right to vote.

It is the
VETERAN who
salutes the Flag,

How soon they forget. I have a few stops to make today, to thank a few friends that have passed on. It still gets to me everytime I visit them. But, it's something I have to do.

Unfortunately we lost man from Chesterland on Thursday in a coptor crash in Afghanistan. Chief Warrant Officer Christopher R Thibodeau. My daughter used to ride the school bus with him for many years. He was a graduate of West Geauga H.S. - class of 2000. Thanks for your service Chris. May you rest in peace.
