I am hoping to get my daughter and friend up to do some jigging on Saturday. Can anyone give me some advise as to where the walleye may be in the area? I am hoping to just get out of the river and then start jigging in around 10' of water. Are the walleye in shallow, close to shore yet? I really appreciate anyones input. Thanks...........

it never hurts to try that close, it will depend a lot on water clarity and temp. rule of thumb for me has always hit the edges of the reef complex early and late spawn and tight to shore in between.

locust reef always seems to hold some fish early and its pretty close to shore

Go to the Lake Erie Forum and check the posts from the past two weeks. You will get a lot of good information.
There is really no way to tell exactly where and what depth will be best other than to say look for clearer water, at least two to two and a half feet visibility which will give you a better chance than the heavy stained water.

Saturday looks good but Friday and Sunday look iffy at best according to the wind-wave forecast.
