Old Mans Cave is at the top of my list to get started in backpacking. Seems like a good place to learn a few things before getting way out.

A lil ways south of Columbus near Hocking Hills. I just got the trail map for that section of the Buckeye trail from http://www.buckeyetrail.org/index.html $7.00.
