Here's a few pics of some of my backpacking gear:
John, I like that MSR Trekker Tarp. Looks very versatile, like it could handle just about anything. I've been trying to come up with a bivy design, like that, that I could make. One that would shelter 2 campers fireside, then convert to a reliable, dry sleeping structure. ....Also, I've launched directly across the reservoir from Handsome Lake, many times in the last 25 yrs. (Here's pics from the ramp, you can see Handsome Lake camp) --Tim............................................... ....................................40740......... .................................................. .....................40741........................ .................................................. ......40739

Nice pic. I've spent alot of time on the Eastern side of the reservoir backpacking Tracey Ridge, Johnnycake Trail, Tracey Ridge Trail, North Country Trail, Morrision Trail & Rimrock Trail. Love the area.

Hey Wow-what did you have to do to get your Ohio registered canoe legal to use in the National Forest in PA.? We do a lot of camping up there and I have wanted to take our canoes and kayaks but I cant find an answer online.

You don't have to do anything, lakota. You're legal there if your legal here. Of course if you fish, you get raked around $20 for a 3-day pass, around $40 annually. Some public launch-and-park areas charge you around $7/night, on the honor system. I'm way too cheap for that, I usually, launch, then have somebody park the vehicle at the trailhead, and meet us where the trail meets the shore. I found a site for you to check out. http://www.fs.fed.us/r9/forests/allegheny/recreation/dispersed_recreation2006.pdf --Tim............................................... .................................................. ...................40777
