does anyone know if the mayflies are affecting the smallmouth fishing like it is the walleye?

Procraft, I just posted under the thread "skunked on Erie". Seemed that the mayflies were affecting the bite. My club fished out of Huron on Sat. and Sun. 7 boats, a total of four limits combined for the two days. My partner and I fished the Ruggles area, but only one of our members headed to Vermilion. He had a limit on Sunday. Everyone who had a limit, only caught those fish, they never culled.

I have a tournament out of the black river the first week of august, hopefully they will be cleared out by then.
