A lot of my corn is producing a secondary shoot off the main stalk.

My question for you "seasoned" gardeners is ----Should you leave them alone or should you cut them off? I would think that the secondary shoots are robbing the main stalk and slowing down it's growth.

thanks for any info you have.:)

If you are talking about coming off at the base of the plant then yes cut them off, we call them suckers and they do exactly what you said, rob your plant
