Well, I wish that the weather would cooperate with me sometimes, but even if it doesn't do that for me tomorrow, I am still going up to Erie on a charter trip to try my hand at some eyes. With the conditions predicted tomorrow, I am wandering how the bite will be. We are launching out of a marina 10 miles West of the Davis Besse power plant. So we will be up near the reefs I believe. Anyone got any suggestions on what might be a good tactic to get a few eyes in the boat. I was thinking the good ole jig/twister tail combo, or a vibe.

I sure hope it doesn't rain to bad out there.

try prop jigs too and vibies and worm harneses if you got a rod holder jig with 1 rod and let the harness drag with the other rod it picks up a few extra fish

last week we went out and they were recommending purple hair jigs 1/2 oz, me being hard headed i compromised with a green and purple 1/2 oz jig head and a 4 inch transparent chartruese twister. dont forget the stinger hooks. cast in the direction the boat is drifting and rip it back like swimmin a jig. i didnt get any fishing straight down, but when i was casting the same way the boat was drifting i was getting bit. ended up with 3 , and lost 4 or so..
