Ran well, but according to a mechanic the splines are worn out. If you like to tinker with stuff, maybe you can fix it to use it as a motor. I am selling it for use as parts. Asking $150.

I have to say I don't know much about engines. The splines in the powerhead?

The motor ran with no problems. One day, I'm out on Hoover and the engine basically just quits pushing the boat when I have it in gear. It still idled fine, but wouldn't drive the prop when in gear. The mechanic (2 summers ago) said I may be able to use it by taking it in and out of gear. I'm tired of seeing it in my garage.
