This time of year is when you always hear of the big saugeye caught at Atwood and elsewhere, (see the latest Tappan eye post) but I've never been able to catch any fall hogs there. I mostly concentrate on the western half of the lake this time of year and usually don't go east of boaters beach if that far.
Am I missing the ticket by not hitting the sunken islands or arrowhead beach or even further east??? I've always fished shallow shoreline points and flats close to deeper water down by the dam and the West Marina channel. Trolling and casting cranks at night have produced, but nothing worth getting excited about.
Like myself, Sam, Mike, and a few others on here have inquiring minds regarding the secrets of unlocking the mysteries of Atwoods big eyes.
