2012 OGF Rick "Misfit" Seevers Memorial Crappie Tournament
|
Delaware Lake & Alum Creek Reservoir 2012
Due to the passing of OGF Staff member Rick Seevers (Misfit), we dedicate our annual crappie tournament in his name and honor, and hope that everyone enjoys the event as much as Rick did. Rest in peace Rick.
New for 2012!! After 9 years of successful tournaments and feedback, we are expanding the event in an effort to provide even more fishing opportunities, payouts and competition! Along with our usual spring Delaware tournament, we’ve added a fall tournament at Alum Creek. This provides our tournament anglers with a new variety of options, suited for both the novice to the seasoned crappie veterans. More |

From The Forums - Greenlawn (Scioto River) Cleanup - Volunteers Needed!
|
FOSR
Every year we organize a litter cleanup around and below Greenlawn, as our part of the Earth Day activity around town. We normally pull a truckload of trash and junk out of there.
This year, I am attempting to add an event to cut honeysuckle around and below the dam. This depends on whether I can book the chipper crew that Columbus rec and parks will provide to volunteers in 2012.

Here are a few new colors of the 10" bait and my prototypes of the finished 13" bait.

Gorgeous day on the lake. Flat as a pancake. Launched at 11:30 with Sellfish, GotOne, and ShortDrift. Set up troll, and had a fish on in minutes. Had a slow pick going, but managed to dump more than we were catching. At one point, we were 4 for 11.

Jim Stedke
The boat show's over which means winter is half gone, and it's time for the 5th or is it the 6th mid-winter online seminar.
As most know, I got to try trolling In Jan. 3 times this year, and while we did not knock em dead, we caught fish every time out.
So... let the fun begin. Who wants to ask the first question?
